The Boston Molasses Disaster of 1919
On a blustery January in that fateful year, disaster unfolded Boston. A massive tank filled with sticky, sweet molasses gave way sending a wall of of the thick liquid rushing through the streets. The power was catastrophic, smashing buildings and entombing citizens in a gooey soup. Dozens of people were fatally injured, and many more were wounded
